Make It Happen combines over 20 years of racing and coaching experience across swimming, triathlon and cycling.
Having collected multiple Irish National titles in the pool, both short and long course, represented Ireland several times internationally between 2004 and 2007, achieved a National Relay Record, along with multiple individual regional records, Emma has been teaching and coaching swimming since 2005.
Taking up triathlon in 2017, she won Dublin City Triathlon Sprint in her first season of racing. She then reached the Super Series podium 2018, won National Series races in 2019, with a podium in the National Elite Sprint Champs in 2019. She became the National Aquathlon (swim/run) champion in 2020, and competed with Sardines Triathlon, Marseille, French Grand Prix team in 2021.
She is also UESCA qualified.
Having raced crits and on the road when training for triathlon starting in 2019, she switched to focusing solely on cycling in 2022, specifically gravel racing. She has since podiumed in La Santa, The Traka 100 and 360, Wish One Gravel - achieving Ireland’s first ever UCI Gravel World Series medal.
She also finished 2nd on GC during the Newry 3 day, taking the QOH jersey, and claimed 3rd in the Irish Rider category at Rás na mBan the same year.
She became the first Irish rider to ride the Elite World Gravel Championships Veneto in October 2022.
She continues to race at Elite level, competing on gravel across Europe.
